    After Hours Improv

American Stage’s own HAWK & WAYNE combine a unique mixture of the Chicago and West Coast long-form improvisation styles through Hawk’s training at Second City Chicago and Wayne’s training at Los Angeles’ Groundlings.

Gavin Hawk and Ricky Wayne are back with a whole new show titled ‘The Mockumentary’! In this completely improvised one-act play, we will create a never-before-seen documentary on the spot, based on an audience member’s suggestion. So come prepared to laugh!

“…Taunting French guards, Knights Who Say Ni, a despondent prince, poor peasants and killer rabbits. They are all familiar to fans of the film, but you don’t have to know a thing about Monty Python to get the jokes.” – Herald Tribune

Winner of the 2005 Tony Award for Best Musical, Monty Python’s Spamalot is the outrageously funny parody of the legend of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. Spamalot features a bevy of beautiful show girls and hilarious dance numbers, not to mention flying cows, killer rabbits and French people.  With book and lyrics by Monty Python alum, Eric Idle, and a musical score by John Du Prez and Eric Idle;  Spamalot “raises silliness to an art form! (NY Sunday Times).”
