American Stage Summer Camp Summer Camp is always a ball at American Stage and this year we have seven fun-filled Sessions to choose from. Attend all Sessions in your age group, and your camper will receive an American Stage Kid's Pass; a card that will allow your child to attend any American Stage production for FREE until their 18th birthday with an accompanying paying adult. Wow!

Summer Camp meets Monday - Friday 9am - 3pm and Pre-care and After-Care are available. Campers should wear comfortable clothing that can get dirty, tennis shoes, and bring a non-perishable lunch. Mid-morning snacks will be available for purchase. Camp is open to kids age 5 - 17 and classrooms are broken into the age groups of 5 - 7, 8 - 11, and 12 - 17.

Session I: June 8 - 12:
Drama-Rama, Dr. Seuss!!! (for students age 5 - 11)

Learn the basics of theatre while creating our own production for family and friends utilizing a Dr. Seuss theme.

Intro to Acting (for students age 12 - 17)
Teens will spend the week learning the basics of acting while creating a showcase for family and friends.
Camp; 9am - 3pm: $150
Pre-Care; 8am - 9am: $25
After-Care; 3pm - 5pm: $50

Session II: June 15 - June 19:
Puppetry Fun (for students age 5 - 11)

Spend the week creating your very own puppets and a script to start them in!

Scene Study (for students age 12 - 17)
Teens will take the next step in acting training by spending the week exploring in-depth scene study.
Camp; 9am - 3pm: $150
Pre-Care; 8am - 9am: $25
After-Care; 3pm - 5pm: $50

Session III: June 22 - 26:
Comedy and Clowning (for students age 5 - 11)

Ah the science of comedy. Spend the week learning to be a comedic genius!

Sketch Comedy (for students age 12 - 17)
Teens will learn the art of the short sketch and create a showcase for family and friends.
Camp; 9am - 3pm: $150
Pre-Care; 8am - 9am: $25
After-Care; 3pm - 5pm: $50

Session IV: June 29 - July 24:
(Camp will not be in session July 4.)
Making Marvelous Musicals!!! (for students age 5 - 17)

Campers will explore the art of the musical and create a full musical production for family and friends.
Camp; 9am - 3pm: $500
Pre-Care; 8am - 9am: $100
After-Care; 3pm - 5pm: $200

Session V: July 27 - 31:
Drama-Rama, underwater!!! (for students age 5 - 11)

Learn the basics of theatre while creating our own production for family and friends utilizing an underwater theme.

Directing Lab (for students age 12 - 17)
Want to be in charge? Teens will learn what it takes to be a director in the theatre.
Camp; 9am - 3pm: $150
Pre-Care; 8am - 9am: $25
After-Care; 3pm - 5pm: $50

Session VI: August 3 - 7:
Shakespeare's a Blast (for students age 5 - 17)
Campers will have a blast exploring the Bard and learn to "Speak the speech, I pray you."
Camp; 9am - 3pm: $150
Pre-Care; 8am - 9am: $25
After-Care; 3pm - 5pm: $50

Session VII: August 10 - 14:
Drama-Rama, heroes!!! (for students age 5 - 11)

Learn the basics of theatre while creating our own production for family and friends utilizing a hero theme.

Playwriting workshop (for students age 12 - 17)
Teens will learn the craft of playwriting and create short plays to showcase for family and friends.
Camp; 9am - 3pm: $150
Pre-Care; 8am - 9am: $25
After-Care; 3pm - 5pm: $50
