American Stage Summer Camp
Summer Camp is always a ball at American Stage and this year we have four fun-filled Sessions to choose from. Attend all four Sessions, and your camper will receive an American Stage Kid's Pass; a card that will allow your child to attend any American Stage production for FREE until their 18th birthday with an accompanying paying adult. Wow!
Summer Camp meets Monday - Friday 9am - 3pm and Pre-care and After-Care are available. Campers should wear comfortable clothing that can get dirty, tennis shoes, and bring a non-perishable lunch. Mid-morning snacks will be available for purchase. Camp is open to kids age 5 - 17 and classrooms are broken into the age groups of 5 - 7, 8 - 11, and 12 - 17.
Session I: Drama-Rama!!!
June 9 - 13 (Open to ages 5 - 17)
Kick off the summer with Drama-Rama!!! Learn the basics of theatre while creating our own production for family and friends. Campers will explore acting, voice, movement, and stagecraft, create their own props and set pieces, and a script to star in. Our final production will take place Friday, June 13, 5:00pm.

Session II: Making Marvelous Musicals!!!
June 16 - July 18 (Open to ages 5 - 17)
(Camp will not be in session July 4.)
Campers will explore the art of the musical and create a full musical production for family and friends. Camp will include activity in acting, voice, movement and stagecraft and learning the skills of an ensemble-acting troupe. Our final productions will take place Thursday, July 17 at 5:30pm. Camp will be in session through Friday, July 18.
Kids age 5 - 7 will perform Character Matters
Kids age 8 - 11 will perform Pirates From Grammar Island
Kids age 12 - 17 will perform Peter Pan

Session III: Shakespeare's a Blast!!!
July 21 - August 1 (Open to ages 5 - 17)
Who knew the Bard was so much fun? Campers will have a blast exploring Shakespeare and learn to "Speak the speech, I pray you." Activity will include acting, voice, movement, and stagecraft using the language of Shakespeare. Our final production will take place Thursday, July 31, 5:30pm. Camp will be in session through Friday, August 1.

Session IVA: American Stage Variety Hour!!!
August 4 - 15 (Open to ages 5 - 11)
Get ready, get set, go create your very own Variety Show! Using all the skills we've gained this summer, campers will create a Vaudeville production full of acting, music, dancing, and sketch comedy. Perhaps we'll have a magic trick or two! Our final performance will take place Thursday, August 14, 5:30pm. Camp will be in session through, Friday, August 15.

Session IVB: Audition Techniques for Teens
August 4 - 15: (Open to ages 12 - 17)
Campers will spend two weeks honing their audition skills in everything from Shakespeare to contemporary drama, while continuing to explore acting, voice, and movement. Our audition showcase will take place Thursday, August 14, 5:30pm. Camp will be in session through Friday, August 15.
