Classes at American Stage

See the difference that theatre can make in your child’s life!

American Stage Education is proud to offer year-round acting classes for youth ages 5-18. With a focus on developing the student’s performance skills, creativity, and self-confidence we have classes for the beginning actor as well as for advanced performers. While class titles may remain the same year after year, lessons, areas of emphasis and final showcase pieces change each semester. Classes are designed to be taken more than once.

Each class meets once a week for 12 weeks, allowing students the opportunity to get a truly in-depth experience. All classes are taught by working, professional theatre artists who have a passion for teaching. Instructors are trained by American Stage and have passed a Level 2 background screening.

Activities will include creative drama games that encourage students to make bold and creative choices through interpretive movement, vocal and verbal expression, active listening, and collaboration. The class will end with an informal presentation of the stories explored in class. This final showcase performance will be on Saturday, April 16th.
