American Stage’s Pop Up! Performances offer safe and socially-distanced live entertainment around the community, including at St. Pete’s exciting new creative arts destination, The Factory St. Pete. Digital and intimate members-only performances will also be offered on our Virtual Stage. These “Pop Ups!” will include talented performers taking the stage for a fun celebration of the joy of coming together through the magic of live performance.

A Night of Song and Laughter…Together

American Stage brings you a fun evening of celebration and laughter with songs, scenes and sketch comedy. Join us live and in person at The Factory St. Pete for a limited pop-up event in this safe and socially distanced outdoor venue. Entertainers will perform a set of comedic vignettes that celebrate the art of laughter with your friends on the lawn!

Bonnie Agan made repeat appearances at USFSP’s Short & Sweet Theatre Week, and 21st Century Voices New Play Festival at American Stage. She is Artistic Coordinator of The Radio Theatre Project at The Studio@620, as well as a voice actor. At American Stage, she appeared in GOOD PEOPLE, then did another of playwright David Lindsay-Abaire’s works, KIMBERLY AKIMBO, at Eckerd College. She has also worked locally at freeFall Theatre, The Asolo, A Simple Theatre, and Stageworks.
Patrick A. Jackson was last seen with virtually as Clarence the Angel in IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE and in-person as Joseph Asagai in A RAISIN IN THE SUN. He is an alumnus of Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA. Regional Credits: A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM (Jobsite Theatre), GLORIA (Mad Cow Theatre), WHITE RABBIT/RED RABBIT (Urbanite), ALICE WITH A TWIST (Florida Studio Theatre). Off-stage, Patrick is the Adult Education Associate at American Stage and a founding member of the American Stage Improv musical improv team “Definitely Not Murderers.” He is the host of The Black Hand Side Podcast and Director of Multimedia for Today’s Church Tampa Bay. John Perez is an actor and singer based in St. Petersburg, FL. He received his BFA in Musical Theatre from the University of West Florida and recently completed a year-long apprenticeship with American Stage Theatre Company”. Selected favorite credits include: Che (EVITA), Husband/CPA (See What I Wanna See), Piragua Guy (In the Heights), Prince Escalus (Romeo & Juliet), Man 2 (Songs for a New World), Agwe (Once on this Island). He’s also appeared in several world premieres, including EL WIZ (Paul Castaneda & Juan Cantu), The Impossible Escape of Don Misterioso (Hal Borden), and Pecking Order (Robin Rice). He hopes you enjoy this night of laughter, music, and togetherness!
Julia Rifino is thrilled to be a part of American Stage’s performance of UNCAGED! As a graduate from The University of Tampa, you may have seen her recently as Sophie in MAMMA MIA! (American Stage); a featured singer in LEONARD BERNSTEIN’S NY (freeFall Theatre); Red Girl in SHOUT! (Straz Center) Kate Monster in AVENUE Q (Stageworks Theatre); Princess Fiona in SHREK THE MUSICAL (Show Palace Dinner Theatre); or touring Southwest Florida as George in CURIOUS GEORGE:THE GOLDEN MEATBALL (Florida Repertory Theatre). Outside of performing, you can catch her painting and designing as a freelance artist. She is grateful for this opportunity to perform, and for her incredibly loving family & friends!

Can I bring my own chair?
Yes, we encourage it! Please bring your own blanket or chair. Tall chairs will be seated behind blanket and ground level chairs.
Can I bring food?
Food and beverages are allowed to be brought in, but no alcohol.
Will concessions be available to purchase?
Concessions will not be available for purchase, so we encourage you to bring your own food and beverage.
